Medical Device Designer
3D-Side is a Belgian company active in the medical sector which assists surgeons by integrating 3D technologies in the operating theater. We support surgeons and medical device companies to plan complex interventions, providing them with a custom-made software web platform and patient-specific instruments to perform the surgery and ensure the good follow-up of the manufacturing process.
Your Role: Medical Device Designer
As a Medical Device Designer, you’ll take full ownership of the patient-specific device workflow — from receiving medical images to delivering the final custom product to the surgical team.
Key responsibilities
Surgical Planning and Virtual Design (70%)

Convert medical images into 3D anatomical models

Design patient-specific implants and surgical instruments in 3D

Ensure all deliverables meet surgery deadlines

Guarantee the quality and regulatory compliance of each device

Maintain effective collaboration with the manufacturing department
3D Printing & Logistics (30%)

Operate 3D printing equipment for medical device production

Post-process and inspect medical devices for accuracy and quality

Manage packaging, documentation, and secure shipment of patient-specific devices

Administer each case's documentation (invoices, purchase orders, etc.)
Your Profile
Education & Skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
